Ember Grove is a cozy game that turns your real-world activity — steps, sleep, and workouts — into energy for a little garden world. It is built so that your data never leaves your device.

What We Collect

Nothing ourselves. Ember Grove has no accounts, no analytics, and no servers of ours that ever see your information. The free version shows occasional ads (see "Advertising" below); the Grove Pass removes them.

Health Data

With your permission, Ember Grove reads steps, sleep, and workouts from Apple Health (HealthKit) to award in-game sunlight. This data:

• is processed entirely on your device;
• is never transmitted, uploaded, sold, or shared with anyone;
• is read-only — the app never writes anything to Apple Health;
• can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and the game keeps working with a small daily energy trickle.

Game Progress

Your grove (plants, decorations, progress) is stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync in a future version, that data syncs through your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy protections — we still never see it. Health data is never included in any sync.

Network Use

The app makes one kind of network request: downloading a small static configuration file that tunes game balance numbers. This request sends no personal information — it is an ordinary file download, like loading a web page.

Advertising

The free version of Ember Grove shows occasional ads at natural pauses, served by Google AdMob. These ads are always non-personalized: we request them with personalization disabled, the app never shows the "allow tracking" prompt, and no advertising profile of you is built on our behalf.

To serve and measure ads, Google's software receives basic device information (such as device model, IP address, and a device identifier); see Google's privacy policy for details.

Your health data is never shared with, or visible to, any advertising service — this is enforced by Apple's rules and by how the app is built. Subscribing to the Grove Pass removes all ads.

Purchases

Optional purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

Children

Ember Grove itself collects no data from anyone, including children, and ads are always served non-personalized.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the update will appear here with a new date.
